Since 1981, she had worked in the Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
From 1981 to 2021, she held the following positions at the Main Botanical Garden: Trainee researcher, engineer, junior researcher, researcher, head of the landscape architecture group, chief researcher and head of the Landscape Architecture Laboratory, Deputy Director for Scientific Work. She supervised the construction of the Japanese Garden and was its scientific curator from 1983 to 2021. Author of numerous projects of expositions in botanical gardens.
In 1988, 2012, she interned in Japan under grants from the Japan Foundation.
Since May 2021 – Chief Researcher and Head of the Laboratory of Landscape Architecture and Ethnobotanical Research of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden - National Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow representative office.
She is the chairman of the Commission on landscape architecture of the Council of Botanical Gardens of the CIS under the International Association of Academies of Sciences, the organizer of the international conferences "Landscape architecture in botanical gardens and arboretums", which have been held since 2007.
She is also a professor of landscape architecture at St. Petersburg Forestry University and the Crimean Federal University.（part-time job）
n 1990-2021, she lectured on oriental garden art at Tambov State University, Kiev State University, Kiev Agrarian Institute, Moscow University of Forests (now Mytishchi branch of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University), Crimean Federal University and Harbin Institute of Technology (China). At the invitation of the Association of Landscape Architects O.Kyushu (Japan)-lectures on Japanese gardens outside Japan, as well as lectures within the framework of numerous international landscape and architectural exhibitions. She has made more than 130 scientific reports at all-Russian and international conferences, including IFLA congresses, represented Russia at many international specialized exhibitions on decorative gardening.（part-time job）
Since October 2023，she has concurrently served as a visiting professor at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology and Northeast Forestry University.（part-time job）
